New Year, new topic. Hopefully I got the name right this year. All Aerogardens are fine. The 3-week romaines aren't quite ready to harvest yet - this is usually true of romaines, they run a week slower getting started than the tenderer-leafed lettuces.
First of the attempted fall greens went out - 2 kaboko chinese cabbage, in a growbox with the tomande tomato. Probably too early, but they've survived a week so far.
Transplanted my first seedling out today. Probably way premature, but this little spinach is already ~4 weeks from seed (began life in the original LED greens experiment) and supposed to be mature at ~6 weeks.
My Korean Red Curl lettuce seeds seem to have gone kinda-bad. (Moldy.) And I haven't had great experiences with the company I bought them from (Evergreen Seeds). No shipment. Then they disappeared. Their store quit working. Then they came back, and eventually sent my order. But one pack of seeds never germinated, and several had poor performance. And they never answered email...
2009-10-10: Replanted my pro100 with 7 pods Korean red curl lettuce, 3 seeds per.
2009-10-16: Not germinating well... only two credible seedlings so far. Added more seeds and pushed them down - maybe they need dark. I sure hope my KRC seeds are still good.
