Trinidad VV7 Scorpion Peppers [10/05/2016]

Tags:

This pepper was given the Catalog number VV7 by Agriculture of Trinidad. Grant from Australia who has many friends in Trinidad is the source for these screaming hot peppers. The VV7 Scorpion Chiles have a very sweet taste but the heat level rivals a Moruga Scorpion. Some say they are related. The VV7 Scorpion Chile plants get about 3 feet tall and produce lots of peppers that ripen from green to dark red.

I figured out what the

I figured out what the problem with with the newer leaves is. It is a calcium deficiency. I've been having issues with all of my hotter peppers. The leaves get all wrinkled. And once that happenes, the leaf stays that way. I have that problem with all of my peppers, right now. I am going to pick up som Cal-i-Mag tomorrow. I hope it works. I still need to figure out how much to use alongside the AG nutes.

Sorry to hear that, Mike.

Sorry to hear that, Mike. Peppers are such a long investment - it hurts when they don't work out.

One per AG sounds like a good plan.

These did not work out. I

These did not work out. I have come to the conclusion that you can only grow ONE super hot pepper on an Aerogarden. The root structure is so massive, two won't produce peppers. Plus, the top leaves get to look funny. I just had to pull two super hot gardens because the root structure was so massive for two plants, that you had to water them three times a day. The roots were chocking each other. Unfortunately, it's on to a new project. Hinkelhatz Peppers.

They are VERY compact with very dense foliage. The are 60 days old now, and have several open blooms, and tons of buds.
