Total newbie needs old aerogarden instructions

I recently bought an old used Aerogarden Elite6 (not with LEDs but the old type of lights).  Seller had installed new lights and after filling with water the airstone works but not very impressively.  Has anyone added extra airstone or is that small amount of bubbling sufficient?

My main problem is there was no instructions and searching the Aerogarden website wasn't helpful to try and find a PDF download for this old style.  I will try to post a picture of the control panel.  There are various choices of salad greens, herbs, vegetables, etc.  Pressing these buttons didn't change airstone performance so do they control something else?  There is an on/off light switch so is this a totally manual device so I have to turn on lights in the morning and night?  Or do those other buttons and the reset button come into play somehow?

Anyone know where I can find the instructions?

Thanks for any help.

Ah, a fellow experimenter! :)

Ah, a fellow experimenter! :) Worth a try, after your maiden voyage. But note the confounding factor that the light bulbs decay kinda quickly. Aerogrow recommends replacing them after only 6 months. I don't go that far for lettuce, but they seem lame by month 9.

And even lettuce grows better with more light, especially if you can get a dose of natural light on them. YMMV!

Awesome Ginger!!! Thanks a

Awesome Ginger!!! Thanks a bunch!  That is exactly the page I needed.  My mistake in searching their website was I searched for "instruction manual" and got hundreds of results.  Duh... should of thought to search User Guide.

My version has 3 lights instead of 2 so I am tempted to take one out to test with just growing salad greens since that will allow me to just use a 200 watt inverter.  With the 3 lights it runs at a bit over 200 watts.   Will be a fun experiment.

P.S. The most important

P.S. The most important arcane bit of lore to get from the manual is how to set when to turn the lights off. I wrote that down on an index card and put it under the machine... Your power may go out less often than mine. ;)

Hey, Cheryl, welcome aboard!

Hey, Cheryl, welcome aboard!

I think this page has the manuals. And I believe what you've got is called a Classic6. Aerogrow used to have its documentation a little easier to find on its website...

You can always add another airstone later if you think it's warranted. If you grow lettuce first (highly recommended!) it should be fine. Airstones are loud, so I wouldn't be too quick to add more if you can help it.

The settings govern the light timer, not the airstone. I think the airstone just does what it does on that model, 24/7.
