td_scott's Grow Logs

Been sharing grow rate and methods with family and friends via email.  Plan to use this site to growlog results both success and failure.

All started with that second discounted Aerogarden from someone else's christmas present..

 Aerogarden 3 with Tea

Started my growlogs here but I liked Drupal so well that installed on my website.  I'm hosting pictures there and keeping my master growlog there as well.  With keep a copy here as well.

Wow, is this tea kit your very first AG grow, td_scott?

Yes, tea set was started on Dec 23, 2009. I have been surfing hydroponic websites for many years.  Ordered a fogger and a 18 gal 4 port DIY kit about the same time as the AG3.

Bergamont for the tea kit did not make it.  I have sown bee balm seeds into the AG3 on Jan 18. Used a Perfect Start #2 to replace the spooge.  I had 100% germ of the tomatoes in my DIY aeroponic fogger using them. Checking the AG3 daily..

My tomatoes that I were sown 2 weeks ago in the fogger system now have their first set of real leaves. In 2 more weeks I plan transplant them to 4 port DIY system.

When I say the AG3 started it all.  Here is an example. The 4 port DIY will need a light.  Right?  So to save money when shopping for a light I looked for kits.  Found one!  It included a Megagarden.

Now the Megagarden is going to need a light.

Future plans include alpine strawberries in an ebb and flow Megagarden, letture in a DIY raft system, and this spring a pipe dream like system in the backyard. Might try my hand at cloning Aronia bushes from the backyard as well.

Definitely know what you mean about an Aerogarden starting it all.

Really looking forward to your tomato grow. Er, what did you end up with for lights, anyway?

The kit came with a Hydrofarm Xtrasun Metal Halide System with a MU400/U bulb.

For Megagarden that came with the kit I have ordered a Jump Start Fluorescent Light Stand.

Will light up one more crop as well.  Looking forward to starting strawberries in the Megagarden.
