Hi All,

Heads up!  I finished with my jalepeno pepper grow in my ag 7 (with the pump).  While cleaning out the ag, I noticed roots growing into the water ports.  I took all the screws out and removed the underside of the deck.  The water supply channel was congested with roots!  Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi, Beth,

I've noticed some roots in the AG7 deck, but not a lot. Your jalepeños were pretty lush, though - might have been root bound and seeking any place they could be.

Did the plants get tired, or you get tired of the plants?

Hi Gisette,

Peppers were still going strong, but outside garden is priority now so they went to the big compost pile in the sky.  Excellent grow, though, I'll do that again next fall without the ornamental pepper.  I'll probably use the ag 6 for the long grow.  I've got a small fruited pepper outside in the earthbox that I'm going to see if it is suitable for an ag.  I think I'm giving up on toms.  But we'll see what bug bites me in the fall.  BTW, monkey flower is blooming at work!  I'll take pix tomorrow.

Beth

I understand, Beth. I almost packed 2 of my AGs away today, but by the time they were cleaned... Yup, replanted. I do like having lettuce in summer, and there were some impatiens I wanted to clone, and... Hopefully, this time I'll tend them better.

The mohawk pepper from the seed you sent is way ahead of all my other peppers outside, btw, and looks compact! Has about 5 blueberry-sized fruit already, and it's still admirably short - maybe 8" tall. But you said you didn't like its flavor much, so, we'll see.

BTW, was looking forward to the monstruoso basil, but something went wrong. When I went to plant the seeds, it was like dust, half yellowish bits, half blackish bits, like somehow the seeds had exploded. I put some of the debris in the 6-pack of herb seedlings I was starting, but I don't think any of it grew. Oh, well.

Looking forward to the monkey flower pix!
