We moved to a new place recently, and just moved a book case, found a leak, and saw the paint peeling back with black mold spots underneath! We are moving again in a week, but I JUST started my garden, and my mini lettuce leaves (lettuce kit) have brown spots on them. 1, I need to find out if this is black mold in my home, and 2, can the mold adhere to the plants? I am FINE with dumping it all and starting over in the new home if anyone can tell me they have never heard of spotty leaves and it sounds like that might be the cause!! Thanks!

Ick, on the black mold, daryl87! I'd hit that with some bleach pronto. For my health, not for the plants. I'm very allergic to mold - gives me all the symptoms of a really bad chest cold.

The lettuce is fine, tho! The freckles are just red lettuce, showing its colors.

Welcome to aerogardening. And your new (and hopefully mold-free) home. I hate mold...
