Ooh, I'm looking forward to seeing how those do for you. There's an AG kit for snow peas, too.

Did you get lights this weekend, Jessi?

I sure did get the lights today as a matter of fact and while it is true that the AG snow pea kits exist AG doesnt sell them anymore because they didnt do wellin terms of growth. I am gonna plant these babies in good ole fashion dirt (ok fertilizing potting soil but still dirt...lol)

I'm trying "bean inoculant" this year. Last year none of my container beans did very well. I didn't realize they need a bacterial symbiote to make their own fertilizer out of atmospheric nitrogen. Which, somehow or another, was apparently in the soil and one planter I used for beans at my old house. This year I'm trying the inoculant.

I read somewhere that farmers have been using this stuff on beans for ~100 years in the US to boost yields.

I think you're delightfully enthusiastic. Not everything will work - but if you keep trying, a lot will!

You're making me awfully tempted to plant some beans in a window, Jessi. The west facing window is getting more sun now...

Ooh, I know. I'll make my kid do it! She's the big green bean fan. I got no end of chaff from her last summer because my first two bean crops failed to produce.

That's a great project for her. I remember planting green bean seeds in styrofoam cups as a kid.

Hey! Come to think of it I never got my beans

I'm still thinking about doing peas in the AG, can't make up my mind what to do after I free up the aero AG.

Quite big seeds, they should fill an AG sponge nicely! Nice shots of these Jessi, it gives me a perfect idea of scale.

Yea Peat do it!

We get 2 for 1 with Snow Peas. We can eat the Pea Tendrils as well as the Snow Peas! I can't wait. I'm gonna be growing some micro greens with these as soon as I get... some trays, some more seeds and a few more lights

Thanks Peat! LOL!

On Monday, I am placing an order with Thompson & Morgan for...

Cucumber : Spacemaster

Sprouting Seeds : Mung Beans, Alfalfa, Wheat (Wheatgrass), Onion, Sunflower

Kale : Il Cavolo Palmizio Senza Testa

Onion : Cipollini Yellow

Vermiculite - Fine Grade - 2 1.25 liters bags

I am getting the Vermiculite for the micro greens I am gonna grow but I wanted to ask you if you thought it would be a good idea to sprinkle some on the top of the tomato plants. I find that I HAVE to water the top soil 2x a day at least because it gets VERY dry if I dont. I stick my finger in & there is moisture about 1/2 down in the pots so what do you think?

Sprinkling the vermiculite will retain the moisture for you.

I thought you'd decided you had enough plants to look after, should have know better.  Can't wait to see that sunflower, it would look nice in the bedroom.

Did I decide that? I do not recal that one. Its the opposite really... I need to plant something at least every week to feel forfilled as a human being.

The sunflower seeds are for making sprouts. They will be in my belly long before a flower grows but if I find the seeds for a pretty pink or lavender sunflower at Home Depot today I will plant it in your honor

It's me, got it all wrong - I've lost the plot with all your plantings.

I'm honoured with the sunflower.

I made a trellis for the snow peas... well sorta. It seems like the ones in the back know something is there. I am hoping the ones in the front will grab onto the yarn :D

Yea! I must be doing something right. I am curious to see if the yarn will be to their liking.

Does anyone know if the greyish streaks I see on the leaves of my plants are a good thing or a bad thing?

Getting big!

So now, was the concept that you were going to eat pieces of these plants, or just let them bear fruit?

I don't know how related sweet peas (the flower) are to snow peas, but I've had zero luck with them.
