I think there are a lot of information about alternative nutrients people are using or some they are adding to AG tablets for booster nutrients.   It would be nice to have things more centralized and I will try to collate the information here.

Please add -
 * name of nutrient
 * N-P-K and micro nutrient composition if known.
 * internet link
 * Substitute AG tablets or booster to AG tablets
 * amount used and frequency - also good to indicate type of AG plants used for and results.
 * approximate pricing for size of package and estimate # of application to give an approx cost per application.

I will compile this with the AG tablets nutrient grid if others on the board can indicate what they used....

Aside from AG tabs, I've only used General Hydroponics Flora series. But - I think I'm the only one here who's used Flora Micro Hardwater edition.

Flora Micro (both editions) is 5-0-1 : 5% Nitrogen, 0% phosphate (P2O5), 1% potash (K2O)

Flora Gro is 2-1-6

Flora Bloom is 0-5-4

Flora Micro Hardwater micro nutes:

  • Ca 1%
  • Co 0.0005%
  • Fe 0.1%
  • Mn 0.05%
  • Mo 0.0008%

Flora Micro only differs in details of the N components, and calcium 5%.

Flora Gro adds Mg 0.5%

Flora Bloom adds Mg 1.5% and S 1%

I've used them as boosters with AG nutes, or alone, more-or-less as per bottle instructions.

 I have had VERY good results with the nutrients from FutureGarden. Within a few days I could tell the difference in my plants. All of my plants and their roots were much healthier looking. The increase of growth was unbelievable. The roots have more fine "hairs" and the leaves on all of my plants are larger and deeper in color. I don't really have time to leave a full review of this product, but I can't speak highly enough of these nutrients! Thank you FutureGarden

Thanks, Nevers!

I'd forgotten about this topic. Several of us have tried dry FloraMato, hoping it was an easier 1-part nute more exactly suited to growing toms and peppers and (me) eggplant and cucumbers. But - it brings the pH way low, and it seems to be unstable pH - even after futzing with the pH to get it around 6.0, you need to futz again in several days, because it falls again. So in net, it's actually harder to use. And I saw better growth with the 3-part Flora series.
