Hi Mary,

Hi Mary,

Sorry I didn't catch your post earlier. My favorite sweets were the Costa Rican Sweet by Burpee, Sweet Heat Hybrid by Burpee and the Round of Hungary Sweets by Swallotail Garden Seeds.

The peppers in this garden are half the normal size. But they are twice as hot. I cant wait until they turn red,

Hi Mike!  Long time no talk

Hi Mike!  Long time no talk-great to see you!  Your pepper plants look amazing and vibrant, as always.  I have 2 empty units, plus some dying herbs to terminate, and your post definitely tells me what I want to grow next smiley.  What were your other favorite mild peppers to grow in the AG?  Jimmy Nardellos?  It's been so long I can't remember.  There were so many!

You can eat the green ones,

You can eat the green ones, almost everyone does. But I like to wait for the red ripe ones. They are typically much hotter, and I think, a bit fruitier as well. I always make my chili with red jalapenos, if I have them or can buy them. They are only available certain times of the year, though.

Yay!

Yay! smiley

Jalapeños are fairly quick once the fruit start, aren't they? Like, you don't have to wait the extra month for ripening.

I decided to pull the little

I decided to pull the little purple guy. It wasn't gaining much size, and the other two need room. The other two are doing wonderfully since I pruned them a week and a half ago.

These babies needed their 4

These babies needed their 4 week haircut. The little purple guy is gaining some ground, too.

Actually, all 3 have purple

Actually, all 3 have purple stems. But I've had a lot of pepper plants with purple stems. The leaves are a bit strange.

Have a happy Thanksgiving, Ginger. Don't get stuck in a store on Black Friday.  surprise

I decided to make another

I decided to make another move here. I moved the small purple leaved plant to the center front. The large center plant to the right rear. If the small one fails, the other two have some space. BTW, I've read those articles and quite a few others. Just enough to confuse me. So many of them contradict each other. I will give these plants more time. Oh, it's pruning time now, for the two.
