I noticed in my latest Aerogrow newsletter (sales-email), there's a new pdf on how to grow strawberries. They recommend Tri-Star starts, and say harvest in as little as 7-8 weeks. There were quite a few interesting tips in there. For instance, they recommend pruning off all flowers until the little plants have 6 leaf sets. Sounds like they fed them as for tomatoes, more or less.

Didn't realise about the manual pollination, the ones I started in the AG, and subsequently ported across to soil, flowered and set fruit fine - they were indoors as well?

Good little .pdf document though.

Interesting, Pete. It may differ between varieties, how much strawberries need help with pollination.
