I am using Captain Jacks

I am using Captain Jacks pesticide in my garden and it seems to be doing well.  It says it's good against aphids.

RE: OUTDOOR EGGPLANTS.

RE: OUTDOOR EGGPLANTS.

APHIDS GALORE! These things creep me out! No other plant had them except the eggplants.I tried a few organic pesticides which did not work very well and came across Safer Brand Tom and Vegetable insect killer spray on AMazon  and it worked like a charm  in 1 day to get rid of all aphids and their eggs. Compliant to use in organic gardening.

Just thought i would share what worked for me. FWIW

They look great, Corinne! One

They look great, Corinne! One cuke at a time may be the light-limit on the Jades, but you might get some picolinos ripening if you pinch off half of them. I know, it sounds harsh, but cukes won't hang around to ripen later. If they don't plump up within a week, they'll just rot off anyway.

I think my indoor cukes have had it for the year - no plumping for a month, no matter what I've tried. Oh, well.

P.S. If you use the image | Browse | Upload thing under the text editor, it'll size your images, upload them, and put them in a lightbox for you. So people see a line of thumbnails, and click to open the close-up. I'd like to get another widget working where it'll just take a web URL and do the same treatment to the picture... Someday. Not today.

Well another Jade is growing

Well another Jade is growing on the plant there are others , but it just favors 1 as far as maturity goes.    1 cuke at a time is very trying .The picollinos have a LOT of small cukes on the vines, but, again, none seem to be matu  ring at all. Here are 2 samples of both types of cuke plants:

I have 1 giant pot outside with both varieties and am eager to see if these produce outdoors for me.

i must say, though, that the crispness, juiciness  and tenderness of the skin of the Jade cuke is very good!!!!  Well worth it as an indoor winter project...even if it means only 1 cuke at a time!

Looks like a happy plant.

Has the total harvest been only 1 cuke so far from this Tasty Jade?

Since plucking the ripened
Since plucking the ripened Jade, the plant stopped producing. I think I let it stay on the vine too long.
I took care to water it thoroughly and feed it with large veg food and it has several cukes starting again. I also started another Jade and 2 picolinos.Perhaps these will go outside when the weather warms up.

I also am trying a fairytale eggplant.
