Yes, the peppers are training

Yes, the peppers are training your expectations. "We are slow."

No kidding - still no change today...

Meanwhile I've had to remove the starter cup from one of the tomato pods because the starter leaves were touching it on both sides.  The other pod isn't far behind.  On the first I am starting to see the emergence of the adult leaves!

Thank you for the welcome Ginger!

Yes I doubt the roots of the wee seedlings are even out past the peat yet and extra oxygen won't have any effect now.  But it's easy to make changes at this point and would be much easier than when the plants are large.  And that's when they might benefit from the extra oxygen.

Hope my jalapeño pepper does as well as my tomatoes - there's no activity at this point except for an ominous bulge of wispy mold - outdoors this would indicate the seed is rotting.  However it's only day 7 of the 8-14 germination period of the pepper, so I'll be patient.

Meanwhile my tomato leaves are starting to touch the grow dome already.  I'd be inclined to take it off but it's the coldest day of the winter and I wouldn't want them to catch a draft.  I might keep them on a few days longer until it warms up.

 Hi, Fraoch, welcome.

 Hi, Fraoch, welcome. smiley

Yup, yup, and yup. Go for it, with the aquarium pump.

Though - you probably don't need it at this point. The seedlings are too young to care.
