I read somewhere here on the boards that romaine lettuce only tolerates 3 plants in a pod at a time so I removed about half of the seeds very carefully with a teeezer. I felt like I was playing Operation like when I was a kid!

I saved the rest to plant for another time.

2 of these romaine pods have sprouted. Still waiting on the 3rd.

Maybe taking the seeds out was not a good idea

I got 1 plant in 1 pod and 2 in the other. I took the seeds out that had not sprouted and put them in potting soil (maybe they will sprout in there... ya never know) and I put more seeds back in the pods. That was kinda tricky but its a good thing that I's skilled with a tweezer!

Yeah, it's better to just let 'em all sprout, then thin them to three.
