2014 outdoor veggies

I took a chance and seeded a couple extra early (Cherokee Purple) tomato plants. In an earthbox self watering container outside the basement. It is doing well and has flowers. Not sure if it will set with the cool night time temps.

Test pix try #2

Test pix try #2.  These are my extra early Cherokee purple plants.  Very pleased with the huge growth.  No blossom end rot (yet).  I just may have to clip the tops of these since they are so big so early!

Would PVC connectors work?
Would PVC connectors work? They make an astonishing variety of those... maybe not in 1/2" though.

I wish they made three way connectors. Could make a frame then. I have not found anyone who makes them.

Ooh, I ought to try that with the electrical conduit... Rebuilding the bamboo cage every year on the driveway is a drag.

Hi Ginger, yes baby toms. 40 days from set to ripe - I wrote that down one year. Corrine, that is 1/2" aluminum electrical conduit and two elbows. From the big box hardware store. Conduit comes in 10' lengths for maybe 4 bucks. In the garden, I just use the clip on guides and pound conduit into the ground for stability.
