Welcome to AeroGarden Mastery!

AerogardenMastery used to be an Aerogarden user community, of enthusiasts for the Aerogarden and other indoor (and outdoor!) growing technologies. We grow food, herbs, flowers, and other ornamentals. Hydroponics, grow lights, Earthboxes and Growboxes - we like growing tech!

But hackers proved too much of a hassle. So now it's read-only. Sorry!

How long does it take for the Mega Cherry Tomatoes to turn red?

We have lots and lots of green Mega Cherry Tomatoes on our 2 plants which we started in our new 7-pod Aerogarden Extra on Dec. 25, 2010, but none of them are red yet.  The temperature has been between 50 and 85 degrees F. required; actually, between 65 and 85 degrees F.  But it's been about 73 days since germination so we think they should be red by now.  Any suggestions from anyone?  Are we being too impatient?

Hi!!!

Here we go for 2011. The snow is gone, the yard is still a bog but the Crocuses and Daffs are well on their way to a spectacular bloom.

Inside we have started some heirloom tomotoes, lettuce & assorted herbs in peat plugs.

We also have 3 AG's going, an AG's cherry tomatoes in one, a Gourmet herbs in another, and in a garden starter we planted a heirloom cherry tomatoe, basil, and romaine.

Pix of the garden starter is attached.

Tasty Jade cucumber in the AG 2011

Beth11's picture

Hi All,

Last try at growing a cucumber in the AG.  The variety is Tasty Jade a parthenocarpic (all female, sets fruit without pollination).  Full size cucumber.  This is more to test out the time lapse Plantcam then anything else.  I am going to keep the pH lower than in the past - about 5.8.  Haven't decided on nutes yet but will probably use the 3 part Flora to use it up.

Here's a picture of the Plantcam set up and a sample picture:

Swiss Chard under lights 2010

Beth11's picture

Bright Lights Swiss Chard seeded 21 Nov 2010 in a 74 quart (70 L) storage box. Container measures 17" x 42" x 6".  Drainage holes drilled in the bottom of the container and the lid is used underneath to catch water overflow. 40 seeds planted at 4" spacing.  Miracle grow potting mix.  On my nifty rolling plant stand.  Under fluorescent lights (3 fixtures now) 16 hours on/8 hours off.
